Trey Songz Accused of Pummeling Photographer at NY Club, Police Investigate

Look, I do not want to be the one to say it, but Trey Songz seems to have turned a late-night recording session into a full-blown brawl. According to videographer Isaa Mansoor, the artist arrived at the Ivy nightclub in Huntington, NY, on the early Sunday of July 14 with his entourage for what was billed as a performance shoot. Mansoor was hired by the club owner to capture video of Trey’s set and his interactions with fans. Everybody involved understood cameras were rolling, or so Mansoor says, until tempers flared.
Mansoor tells TMZ Hip Hop that Trey appeared perfectly aware of the media setup as he made his rounds through the crowd. Tensions allegedly rose during a dispute between the singer and some partygoers. Frustrated by fans expecting selfies and clips, Trey supposedly snapped. At closing time the Ivy’s owner asked Mansoor to grab one last shot of Trey posing in front of the club’s logo. The videographer pressed record—and that is when things allegedly exploded.
The cameraman claims Trey delivered a forceful punch to the side of his head, shoved him against a nearby wall and smashed two of his cameras. Witnesses heard the club owner intervene by shouting “That’s my guy,” only for Trey to bark back “I don’t give a f***,” according to Mansoor’s recounting. Witness statements say Trey menaced the owner with a clenched fist before storming off the scene.
Mansoor immediately retreated to a friend’s car and phoned 911. Responding officers confirmed they have opened an investigation based on the assault report. At the local hospital Mansoor underwent a CT scan and X-rays. Medical records show a diagnosis of concussion, migraine and ankle pain. He was prescribed medication to manage the symptoms and released later that day.
Trey’s team has yet to issue a comment on Mansoor’s claims or the ongoing police inquiry. This incident adds to a rocky stretch in 2025 for the R&B star. Earlier this year he faced legal scrutiny over an unrelated dispute, and he even released a new track professing he was “wiping the slate clean.” Now, questions loom over whether this latest allegation will lead to charges or a civil suit.
At the center of it all is a reminder that celebrity clashes in crowded venues rarely end quietly. With the Nassau County Police Department reviewing security footage and statements, Trey Songz could find himself answering serious questions about use of force. Stay tuned as detectives sort out who really swung first and what penalties might follow.
Well, that was almost entertaining until someone ended up in the hospital. Moving on.
