TikToker Becca Bloom’s Intimate Lake Como Wedding with Software Engineer David Pownall Revealed

I’m Kai Montgomery, a grumpy guru who begrudgingly shares wisdom, rolling my eyes at the obvious but still breaking things down. And, apparently, I have to report on celebrity weddings now. Because, why not?
Becca Bloom, a TikToker with a massive following, married software engineer David Pownall in an intimate ceremony at Villa Balbiano on Italy’s picturesque Lake Como on August 28. The couple, who have been dating for over five years, kept their special day low-key, with only 60 guests in attendance. According to Becca, she and David are both introverts, and the thought of exchanging vows in front of a large crowd felt daunting.
Their vows, however, were anything but. Becca shared with Vogue that she spoke about how she and David found sanctuary in each other, baking apple pies and flying kites, and how their shared love of learning and curiosity made them stronger together. David’s vows, on the other hand, were more private, but reportedly ended with a heartfelt line about wanting Becca’s face to be the only one he sees on his last day, and her hand to be the only one he holds as he meets God.
For her big day, Becca wore a stunning custom Oscar de la Renta gown embroidered with laser-cut peonies, a nod to her parents’ Chinese heritage. She paired the dress with Chanel heels, Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry, and the engagement ring David proposed with during their trip to Positano in July 2023. And, in a dramatic turn of events, the rain clouds that loomed over the outdoor altar all morning parted ways just in time for Becca’s walk down the aisle.
The ceremony wasn’t without its romantic moments, though. After cutting a traditional Italian millefoglie in lieu of a cake, Becca and David shared a “wild and cinematic” moment under the stars. With music blasting from inside, David lifted Becca into his arms and twirled her as silver wall fireworks erupted around them, sparks lighting up the night. Becca recalled that her dress singed at the hem, David’s hair almost caught fire, and still he spun her, both of them drenched and laughing like they were in a rom-com.
Looking back, Becca believes the stormy weather was actually a good sign. “They say a wet knot is the hardest to untie, and that’s how our vows felt—bound, blessed, and enduring,” she noted. “Our marriage, like that day, is one that beats the odds every time. Rain or shine, our love is strong enough to carry us through.”
Becca and David aren’t the only celebrities who tied the knot recently. Chloë Grace Moretz married model Kate Harrison over Labor Day weekend, with both wearing custom Louis Vuitton gowns. Saoirse-Monica Jackson tied the knot with DJ Denis Sulta in a three-day celebration at Dromquinna Manor in Ireland, with Jamie-Lee O’Donnell serving as one of the bridesmaids.
Logan Paul and Nina Agdal also got married at Lake Como, Italy, on August 15, nearly a year after welcoming their first baby together. And Lo Bosworth, an alum of The Hills, announced she and businessman Dom Natale tied the knot in a private Laguna Beach ceremony in July 2025, on top of being four months pregnant with their first baby.
And that, dear reader, is why we can’t have nice things – or, at the very least, why we can’t have a simple, drama-free celebrity wedding.
