The 2025 Emmys Are Coming: Here’s How to Watch and What to Expect

I’m Avery Sinclair, a seasoned journalist with a no-nonsense approach to celebrity news. As a self-proclaimed sarcastic cynic who doesn’t buy into the hype but still provides a sharp, no-BS summary, I’ll guide you through the details of the 2025 Emmys and E!’s Live From E! red carpet coverage.
The 2025 Emmy Awards are just around the corner, and the excitement is palpable. Taking place on Sunday, September 14, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, the ceremony will honor the biggest names in small screen entertainment. This year’s nominees include icons like Noah Wyle, Sterling K. Brown, Kathy Bates, Pedro Pascal, Catherine O’Hara, and Bowen Yang. Past Emmy winners Quinta Brunson, Jean Smart, and The Bear costars Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri are also returning to compete in the Lead Actor and Lead Actress comedy categories.
So, which shows have the best chances of winning big? The White Lotus, The Last of Us, Severance, The Bear, and The Studio all have stellar chances at nabbing many awards across multiple categories. Severance, in particular, nabbed the most nominations of any show this year with 27 in total. The White Lotus will be well-represented again at this year’s award show, with a whopping eight of its season three cast members – including Walton Goggins, Jason Isaacs, Sam Rockwell, Parker Posey, Carrie Coon, Natasha Rothwell, Scott Glenn, and Aimee Lou Wood – nominated.
The 2025 Emmys ceremony will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on Sunday, September 14, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. Nate Bargatze will be hosting the ceremony for his very first time, and he’s also nominated for his variety special Your Friend, Nate Bargatze.
But before the big show, E! will be bringing the heat with its Live From E! red carpet coverage. Live From E!: Countdown to the 2025 Emmys will start the day off with a bang at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT on E!, featuring actress Bresha Webb, Happy’s Place’s Melissa Peterman, designer Christian Siriano, and style guru Zanna Roberts Rassi discussing the night’s hottest nominees, buzziest stories, and jaw-dropping arrivals.
Then, Live From E!: 2025 Emmys follows at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT, where TV host Zuri Hall and comedian Heather McMahan will work the red carpet, chatting with the evening’s most celebrated stars and nominees. Zanna will also be on hand conducting exclusive, fashion-forward interviews with the most stylish celebs as they make their entrances. And, yes, E!’s legendary Glambot is back to capture show-stopping moments from Hollywood’s biggest celebs in slow-motion.
E!’s social coverage of the Emmys will take place all weekend long and beyond on E! News’ Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter), and Facebook. Fashion lovers must follow @Einsider on Instagram to see every jaw-dropping outfit. Volvo is bringing E!’s Erin Lim Rhodes and stylist Robert Cardenaz to the Emmys in style, and viewers can catch a behind-the-scenes look at how Erin gets styled for the night in the Volvo XC90, with insider confessions and expert stylist tips on their road to the red carpet.
After the Emmys ceremony ends, Live From E!: 2025 Emmys After Party, hosted by E! News’ Erin Lim Rhodes alongside reality TV favorites Colton Underwood and NeNe Leakes, will recap the most unforgettable show moments with some surprise guests.
And that’s today’s dose of reality. You’re welcome.
