Tate Madden Claps Back at Gigi Hadid Comparisons with Eyes Rolled

Tate Madden Claps Back at Gigi Hadid Comparisons with Eyes Rolled
  • PublishedJune 25, 2025

Oh, marvelous—another round of celebrity matchmaking commentary to brighten our days. Tyler Cameron’s girlfriend, Tate Madden, finally had enough of the “but she’s not Gigi Hadid” snark on Nick Viall’s The Viall Files podcast (June 18), and she wasn’t exactly penning a love letter to her critics. According to E! News and chatter from the episode, fans have been gasping that Tyler went from supermodel Gigi Hadid and influencer Paige Lorenze to, well, Tate. Her reply? “Joke’s on you guys. I know they’re stunning.” Eye-roll officially registered.

At 31, Tate insists she’s “fine” embracing her own look instead of morphing into a Gigi clone. “He’s dated beautiful people, sure, but should he marry someone just because they’re better looking than me?” she shot back—words verified by podcast transcripts and E! News quotes. Cue Tyler, who swooped in to add fuel to her coping fire: “You’re beautiful and stunning … See, they ain’t that f—king special.” Translation: stop comparing his current leading lady to past runway royalty.

Of course, Mr. Cameron isn’t new to this circus. He and Tate met on Going Home With Tyler Cameron in 2022, but he waited months to confirm they were an item—“People like to nitpick and judge,” he told E! in October. Smart move, considering even seasoned pros can choke on public opinion.

Meanwhile, the rest of Bachelor Nation isn’t exactly winning serenity awards. Grant Ellis and Juliana Pasquarosa, after their rose ceremony proposal, called it quits less than three months later. Grant’s Instagram Story on June 13 confirmed the split, adding a textbook “we gave it our all but aren’t a long-term fit” farewell. Hard to argue with that clarity.

On the flip side, Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple sealed the deal in Bora Bora on The Golden Bachelorette finale, proving age is just a number when it comes to true love. Joan tearfully shared, “I want to wake up next to you in the morning, and I want to kiss you when I go to bed at night.” Cue collective awws and jealous sighs.

Then there’s Jenn Tran and Devin Strader, whose finale romance apparently detonated off-camera. Jenn spilled on After the Final Rose that Devin went radio silent once the cameras powered down. Surprise, surprise—drama waits for no one, not even lovebirds.

So there you have it: Taylor’s girlfriend schooling Gigi Hadid doubters, relationship triumphs, and tumbles from Bachelor Nation. I told you so—celebrity love stories never get boring. And that, dear reader, is why we can’t have nice things.
