Sharna Burgess Fires Back at Troll Who Said Her Son “Looks Like a Girl
  • PublishedSeptember 2, 2025

I’m Jaden Patel, and I’m here to dish out the tea with a side of dry humor. Another day, another celebrity clapping back at a troll – because, apparently, some people still think the internet is a place for unfiltered honesty.

Sharna Burgess, the Dancing With the Stars alum, recently took to Instagram to share a heartwarming video of her and fiancé Brian Austin Green’s 3-year-old son Zane Green getting ready for his first day of Pre-K. In the clip, Zane sports his long blond hair in a bun, paired with khaki shorts, a green shirt, and sneakers, looking adorable as he holds up a sign that reads “Zane’s first day of Pre-K.” His siblings, Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 8, whom Brian shares with ex-wife Megan Fox, can be seen hyping him up in the background. However, not everyone was as charmed by Zane’s cuteness.

One social media user took issue with Zane’s appearance, commenting, “Damn now even this boy looks like a girl why do all his boys look like girls.” Sharna, never one to back down from a troll, responded with a witty remark, “Take your account off private so I can comment on how you look too.” Ouch, burn.

This isn’t the first time Sharna has addressed criticism about her and Brian’s kids’ appearance. In an October 2024 episode of the Between Us Moms podcast, she revealed that she’s received comments suggesting she’s forcing Zane to be a girl because she hasn’t cut his hair yet. “I don’t understand it,” she said, emphasizing that she’s not interested in subjecting her children to more ridicule.

Sharna’s blended family with Brian includes his children with ex-wife Megan Fox – Noah, Bodhi, and Journey – as well as his son Kassius, 22, with ex Vanessa Marcil. The family has been open about the challenges of co-parenting, with Megan admitting that it’s “hard to not feel obligated to be with them all the time or to constantly feel like I’m not doing a good enough job.”

Despite the challenges, Sharna feels blessed to have a supportive tribe around her son as he navigates new chapters in life. As she wrote in the caption of her Instagram post, “His siblings hyped him up this morning as you can hear, and we all went to support his first morning drop off.” She added, “My blended tribe is my everything. We are so lucky.”

Brian Austin Green has also been open about his blended family, posing with Sharna and all five of his kids for a festive family photo in December 2023. Meanwhile, Megan has found love with Machine Gun Kelly, and the two got engaged in 2023.

As for Sharna, she’s made it clear that she won’t be engaging with negativity anytime soon. “Imagine us doing an actual reality show,” she said. “The attention is just not healthy for our kids and it’s certainly not Brian’s style either.” And honestly, who can blame her? The internet can be a cruel place, and it’s refreshing to see celebrities standing up for themselves and their families.

In conclusion, Sharna Burgess is not having it with trolls, and we couldn’t be more here for it. As she navigates the ups and downs of blended family life, one thing is clear: she’s not afraid to speak her mind and stand up for what she believes in.

Well, there you have it – another celebrity clapping back at a troll, because apparently, some people still think the internet is a place for unfiltered honesty.
