Sarah Hyland Cheers on Wells Adams Despite Early Exit from The Traitors

On a recent episode of *The View*, actress Sarah Hyland opened up about her mixed feelings regarding her husband Wells Adams being the first contestant booted from hit show *The Traitors*. While it might sound a bit dramatic for a reality TV show, Hyland reassured everyone that her husband’s early departure didn’t reflect poorly on him. In fact, she believes it was a good judgment call that had nothing to do with his character. To Hyland, who married Adams in 2022, it speaks volumes about his genuine nature. “He’s such a good guy. I would never use the word ‘disappointed’ and my husband’s name in the same sentence, ever,” she quipped, highlighting how Adams’s likability probably came back to bite him in the game where intrigue and deception are the name of the game.
Some may remember Adams from his days on *The Bachelorette*, and his newfound role as a “Traitor” certainly raised eyebrows. But, alas, it was not meant to be, as he was soon targeted and voted out—an emotional moment for Hyland, even if she wasn’t overtly upset. She continued to express support for Adams, emphasizing that their journey as a couple is all about love and togetherness, “because it’s not like it had anything to do with his character.”
Adams did admit, however, that Hyland was a bit bummed about his early ousting, sharing a laugh about their wedding vows, “there’s vows that we said for better or worse, so she can’t divorce me over this.” Oof, tough crowd! While the couple’s banter is endearing and playful, it’s clear that their bond is solid—even when the going gets tough… or when reality shows prey on their relationships.
With the third season of *The Traitors* airing each Thursday on Peacock, we can only hope to see some more exciting twists and turns—without anymore early exits, of course! After all, reality TV is all about the drama… but we should at least get a few episodes of competition in first!
