Reunited and It Feels So Right: Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s Heartwarming Reunion at Daughter’s Wedding

As I sift through the latest celebrity news, I’m reminded that even the most dramatic of divorces can’t overshadow the joy of a wedding day. Case in point: Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s adorable reunion at their daughter Alexia’s wedding to Jake Zingerman on September 6.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and her estranged husband, who announced their split in 2023 after 27 years of marriage, put their differences aside to celebrate their daughter’s happily ever after. Kyle shared several photos from the ceremony on Instagram, including one that showed her and Mauricio beaming with giant smiles on their faces as they posed with the 29-year-old bride. Kyle looked stunning in a strapless, purple gown and diamond necklace, while Mauricio donned a classic black tuxedo. Alexia, a real estate agent, wore a jaw-dropping white skirt and matching corset designed by Danielle Frankel.

Mauricio also shared some behind-the-scenes pics, including an adorable snapshot of his and Alexia’s father-daughter dance, from the special day to his Instagram Stories, writing, I am so happy for this couple. The wedding could not have had more love more energy anything.

The wedding was a family affair, with Kyle and Mauricio’s other daughters, Farrah Aldjufrie, Sophia Umansky, and Portia Umansky, in attendance to watch Alexia walk down the aisle. RHOBH’s Erika Jayne and former costars Lisa Rinna and Teddi Mellencamp were also there to celebrate the occasion. As a notoriously fierce party planner, Kyle definitely had a major hand in helping Alexia plan her perfect wedding day.

In an interview with People, Alexia revealed that she and her mom had initially discussed planning the wedding together, but eventually decided to collaborate closely. In the beginning, [my mom] thought that I would be open to doing this all on my own because I can be particular, Alexia said. But one day I looked at her and I was like, ‘No, no, no. We need to be doing this together.’ It’s almost like there’s a little too much pressure when it comes to your wedding day. I can’t be making decisions on my own. I need my mom to hold my hand a little bit.

As for the newlyweds’ next steps, Alexia told People that she and Jake are excited to have kids, but will wait a little while before they start trying to conceive. He’s really looking forward to being a dad, as I am being a mom, Alexia said. I think I want to be married for about a year before we start really trying. But who knows what happens? Whatever happens, I’m welcoming it.

The Richards-Umansky family has been making headlines lately, and it’s clear that they’re still a close-knit family despite their divorce. In August 2023, Kyle and Mauricio took their daughters on an Italian family vacation, where they glammed up for a fabulous boat ride. The group also attended the June 2023 Aspen wedding of Kyle’s niece Whitney White.

On Christmas, the family matched in red PJs, showcasing their festive spirit. Kyle also expressed her gratitude for Mauricio’s role as a father, writing on Instagram, so grateful that our girls have such an incredible Dad. Leading them with love and instilling in them to be adventurous and live life to the fullest. Always there for them and not knowing how to say no They would definitely agree you get the best Dad award.

As a grumpy guru, I’m not easily impressed, but it’s clear that Kyle and Mauricio are making an effort to co-parent and prioritize their family’s happiness. And who can resist a good wedding? Certainly not me, it seems.
