A spokesperson for the couple told The Post, “Mr. Peter Phillips, the son of HRH The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, and Ms. Harriet Sperling, daughter of the late Mr. Rupert Sanders and Mrs. Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire, have today confirmed their official engagement.”
The announcement added that King Charles and Queen Camilla, along with the Prince and Princess of Wales, have already been informed. “Both families were delighted with the wonderful news of their engagement,” the statement read. Peters’s relationship with William and Harry dates back to childhood.
