Octomom Nadya Suleman Reveals Shocking Truths About Her Kids’ Fathers in New Docuseries

Octomom Nadya Suleman Reveals Shocking Truths About Her Kids’ Fathers in New Docuseries
  • PublishedMarch 18, 2025

In a world where family dynamics are already complicated, Nadya Suleman—better known as Octomom—has decided to drop a bombshell about the paternity of her 14 children. Because, of course, why not? In her new docuseries *Confessions of Octomom*, Suleman finally spills the tea on the fathers of her brood, and let’s just say, it’s a tale of determination, questionable decisions, and a whole lot of sperm donations.

First, let’s clear the air: her ex-husband Marcos Gutierrez, whom she married from 2000 to 2006, is not the father of any of her children. Suleman admits the marriage was a sham to appease her Middle Eastern family, and they never even consummated it. So, no, Marcos, you’re off the hook.

Instead, Suleman’s journey to motherhood began with her ex-boyfriend Denis Beaudoin, who served as her first sperm donor. After 10 failed rounds of intrauterine insemination (IUI) and a breakup, Suleman decided to pivot. Enter: a mysterious friend she describes as “highly intelligent, tall, good-looking, athletic, and very mature.” This unnamed man became the father of her six eldest children—Elijah, Amerah, Joshua, Aidan, and twins Caleb and Calyssa. Apparently, he was generous enough to donate multiple times, though Suleman admits she had to “beg” for the final donation that resulted in her twins.

But Suleman wasn’t done. Determined to have a seventh child, she turned to a sperm bank in California, where she purchased one vial of sperm that miraculously resulted in her octuplets. Yes, eight babies from one vial. Science, folks.

While her oldest children know their father’s identity—thanks to a Facebook discovery by her daughter Amerah—the octuplets were conceived by an anonymous donor, meaning they’ll never know their paternal lineage. But hey, as octuplet Maliyah puts it, “Mom is more than enough.”

Suleman’s life is a masterclass in unconventional family planning, and her docuseries promises to unpack even more of her chaotic journey. From failed relationships to sperm donations, it’s a story that leaves you equal parts fascinated and exhausted.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any more dramatic, Suleman is now a grandmother, celebrating her first grandchild’s six-month milestone. Because, naturally, her son Joshua decided to keep the family legacy alive.
