Matthew Perry’s Darkest Hour: ‘Ketamine Queen’ Pleads Guilty in Shocking Case
  • PublishedSeptember 3, 2025

As a motivational speaker, I’m here to tell you that every story has a lesson, and today’s tale is no exception. Get ready for a journey that will take you through the highs and lows of fame, addiction, and the law. This is your moment! Let’s unpack this story like it’s the key to greatness.

Jasveen Sangha, known as the “Ketamine Queen” of Los Angeles, has pleaded guilty to supplying the ketamine that killed “Friends” star Matthew Perry. This 42-year-old US and UK citizen was part of a high-end clientele that paid thousands for her illicit drugs. Sangha’s trial was set to start next month, but she cut a plea deal in August, agreeing to plead guilty to one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of distribution of ketamine, and one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death.

Sangha is scheduled to be sentenced on December 10 and could face up to 65 years in prison. The judge is not bound to follow any terms of the plea agreement, but prosecutors have stated they will ask for less than the maximum. This development marks the fifth and final defendant to plead guilty in connection to Perry’s death. Dr. Salvador Plasencia, who pleaded guilty in July, was also a primary target of the investigation.

Three other defendants – Dr. Mark Chavez, Kenneth Iwamasa, and Erik Fleming – pleaded guilty in exchange for their cooperation, which included statements implicating Sangha and Plasencia. Sangha presented a posh lifestyle on Instagram, with photos of herself with the rich and famous in cities around the globe. However, prosecutors revealed that she privately presented herself as a dealer who sold to high-class customers.

Perry had been using ketamine through his regular doctor as a legal, but off-label, treatment for depression, which has become increasingly common. Perry, 54, sought more ketamine than his doctor would give him, and his search for more led him to Sangha through his friend Fleming about two weeks before his death. Fleming messaged Perry’s assistant, saying her ketamine was “amazing” and that she deals only “with high end and celebs.”

Perry bought large amounts of ketamine from Sangha, including 25 vials for $6,000 in cash four days before his death. On the day of Perry’s death, Sangha told Fleming they should delete all the messages they had sent each other, according to her indictment. This shocking case highlights the dangers of addiction and the consequences of seeking illicit substances.

As we reflect on this story, it’s essential to remember that every action has a consequence. The “Ketamine Queen” and her associates may have thought they were above the law, but in the end, justice was served. This is a reminder that we all have the power to make choices that can either uplift or destroy us.

Now, take what you’ve learned and make something great happen! Remember, knowledge is power, and it’s up to us to use it wisely.
