Love in the Time of Reality TV: Bachelor Nation’s Latest Updates

I’m Jaden Patel, and I’m here to dish out the latest scoop on Bachelor Nation’s most intriguing couples. The sun has set on Bachelor in Paradise season 10, but the drama and romance are still heating up.
The season 10 finale of Bachelor in Paradise aired on ABC on September 2, and fans got to witness plenty of excitement. After Kathy Stewart and Keith Gordon left Costa Rica as friends, and Jeremy Simon and Bailey Taylor Brown were sent home as a couple, it was down to the final three pairs: Dale Moss and Kat Izzo, Spencer Conley and Jess Edwards, and Andrew Spencer and Alexe Godin.
Andrew and Alexe advanced to the final round of Paradise after winning the “weight of the world” relationship challenge. Meanwhile, the fates of Spencer and Jess, as well as Kat and Dale, were left in the hands of their former Paradise costars, who voted on whether another duo would progress to the last stage for the chance to walk away with $250,000.
But just before the votes were cast, castmate Sean McLaughlin dropped a bombshell accusation about Kat and an ex that suggested she wasn’t there for the right reasons. “When we came to Bachelor in Paradise, Kat’s plan was never to find love,” he said. “She actually stashed a laptop and started texting him love letters. You said this was going to be something for your career and you’re here to stir up drama.”
Kat, for her part, claimed Sean “completely twisted everything,” and defended herself. “I obviously was still dating around,” she explained. “Did me and my ex still have a relationship prior to this? Yes, because I didn’t think I was gonna meet anybody here. But was I texting him on here? No, I don’t have my phone.”
Dale and Kat remained united but were ultimately sent home, resulting in Spencer and Jess joining Alexe and Andrew in the final round. For their last relationship test, each person was presented with a choice: Either take the $250,000 and leave alone or turn down the money and leave as a couple. If both partners chose money, they’d each head home empty-handed. And if only one chose love, that person would exit with nothing.
In the end, Andrew and Alexe chose their relationship over the cash. However, they still walked away with a pretty penny when host Jesse Palmer surprised them by saying they could select an envelope containing an undisclosed sum, and they picked one worth $125,000. “It’s like winning the lottery,” Alexe said. “It’s like you win love and money? What else could you ask for? I genuinely feel like the luckiest girl in the world right now.”
As for Jess and Spencer, they also chose love. Presented with the same opportunity, they drew an envelope worth $190,000. But that was far from the rosiest moment for the couple as they ended the season by getting engaged. “I have never been so happy in my entire life,” Jess shared. “I just bagged the best guy on the face of the earth. That man would move mountains for me, I truly believe that. I’m so ready to start our life together. We got a chunk of change to do so, and I have a rock on my hand.”
Spencer Conley, who intrigued Jenn Tran with his “golden retriever energy” on The Bachelorette, seemed to have fetched quite the catch on the 10th season of Bachelor in Paradise. Posting a snippet of himself and Jess Edwards, who took a swing at Bachelor Joey Graziadei’s heart, revealing that they were falling for one another, he wrote on his Instagram Stories in August 2025 that he’d “already won.” Hard same from Jess, who wrote on her main feed, “just feeling a lil giddy about this man & whatnot.”
The latest updates on Bachelor Nation’s couples are always exciting, and it’s clear that love is in the air. But will these relationships last, or are they just a product of the reality TV bubble? Only time will tell.
As the Bachelor franchise continues to captivate audiences, fans are eagerly awaiting the next installment of drama, romance, and excitement. With new seasons and spin-offs popping up regularly, it’s clear that Bachelor Nation is here to stay.
In the meantime, let’s take a look at where some of the other stars from the Bachelor franchise stand. From Spencer and Jess’s whirlwind romance to Andrew and Alexe’s fairy-tale ending, there’s no shortage of updates to dish out.
And so, the drama continues. Will these couples make it to the end, or will they succumb to the pressures of reality TV? One thing’s for sure: Bachelor Nation is always serving up excitement.
