Liam Neeson Calls Late Arrivals ‘Insulting’ and Demands Punctuality on Set

Liam Neeson recently slammed actors who arrive two, three, or even four hours late to the set as insulting to the hardworking crew, telling Rolling Stone that punctuality is nonnegotiable when dozens of people are waiting.
Quinn Parker here, your over-caffeinated aunt spilling thoughts faster than you can keep up, and I am buzzing about Liam’s no-nonsense take on on-set tardiness.
During a wide-ranging chat with Rolling Stone, Liam Neeson, 73, did not mince words about talent who treat start times like suggestions. “I hear disturbing stories about actors and actresses who are very gifted but show up on the set two, three, four hours late,” he said. “I would never work with those people. I think it’s so insulting.” He added that when you have “a crew of like 60, 70, 80 people waiting for you,” respect for everyone’s time becomes a must.
Neeson, who has built his career on discipline—from theatrical roots to Oscar-nominated roles—insists that being early or on time is as important as nailing the performance. “I just try to be real and show up on time. That’s very important,” he noted, explaining that every project offers fresh lessons alongside co-stars and directors.
His latest adventure brings him back into the world of slapstick and satire as Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. in the new Naked Gun installment, playing the son of Leslie Nielsen’s iconic detective. Sharing the screen is Pamela Anderson, 58, cast as the seductive femme fatale Beth. Neeson gushed to Entertainment Weekly, “She’s outstanding in the film — she’s sexy, funny and just great to work with.”
Rumors have swirled that this on-screen pairing has blossomed into something off-camera. An insider told People Magazine that Anderson and Neeson are “in the early stages” of dating and “smitten with each other.” Pamela chimed in, calling Liam a “true artist” and hinting at a “very sincere, very loving” connection.
Last month, Pamela credited Neeson with being a supportive friend for life, saying: “I think I have a friend forever in Liam.” Neeson himself previously admitted to being “madly in love” with his co-star, praising her work ethic and charm.
Off screen, Neeson’s past includes a 1994 marriage to Natasha Richardson until her tragic 2009 accident. The couple’s sons, Micheál and Daniel, are now grown and reportedly supportive of their father’s new romance. Anderson’s own history involves high-profile marriages to Tommy Lee, Kid Rock, and others, plus two sons who’ve given the pair their blessing.
At the Naked Gun New York premiere, fans and family members smiled for a group shot, and Joely Richardson left seven heart emojis under Pamela’s Instagram post. Jamie Lee Curtis also weighed in, urging critics to “leave them the f–k alone” if love is truly at play.
The duo even popped up on Watch What Happens Live with Neeson’s youngest son Daniel cheering from the audience. Host Andy Cohen, a close friend, seemed delighted by the sweet family moment.
All of this makes me wonder whether Hollywood tardiness is on the chopping block and if real romance on set is the best scene-stealer of all. I swear, I could caffeinate on this gossip nonstop.
