Kanye West Fires Back at Kim Kardashian Over North West’s Music Career
In the latest chapter of the Kardashian-West saga, Kanye West has once again taken to social media to air his grievances, this time targeting Playboi Carti and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian over a proposed collaboration with their daughter, North West. Apparently, the idea of North lending her vocals to a Playboi Carti track was enough to send Kanye into a Twitter tirade, where he accused the rapper of disrespecting their family dynamic.
Kanye’s outburst came after Kim reposted Playboi Carti’s Instagram Story, in which he jokingly asked North to send him a song. Kanye, never one to mince words, responded with a sarcastic tweet from Carti’s supposed perspective, highlighting the irony of the rapper seeking North’s vocals after allegedly leaving Kanye off his album. The tweet read, “HEY NORTH YOUR DAD GAVE ME MY BIGGEST SONG AND CO SIGN AND I LEFT HIM OFF OF MY ALBUM BECAUSE OF HIS TWEETS OH BUT NORTH YOU MY NIECE I GOTTA USE YOUR VOCALS.”
This isn’t the first time Kanye has publicly clashed with Kim over their children’s involvement in the entertainment industry. Just days earlier, Kanye released a song featuring North, Diddy, and his son Christian Combs, despite Kim’s alleged attempts to block it. According to Kanye, Kim sent legal paperwork to prevent North’s participation, citing concerns over Diddy’s ongoing legal troubles. Kanye, however, was undeterred, posting the song and accusing Kim of trying to control North’s career.
The drama escalated further when Kanye shared a since-deleted text exchange with Kim, in which she claimed to have trademarked their children’s names to protect them from exploitation. Kanye, in typical fashion, responded with a threat: “Amend it or I’m going to war. And neither of us will recover from the public fallout. You’re going to have to kill me.”
While the public feud continues, Kanye has also expressed a desire to be more involved in his children’s lives, writing on X, “I don’t want to just ‘see’ my kids. I need to raise them.” Whether this sentiment will translate into a more amicable co-parenting relationship with Kim remains to be seen.
In the meantime, fans are left to wonder if North West’s budding music career will become the next battleground in the ongoing Kardashian-West drama.
