Justin Gaethje Ready to Train FBI Agents: An Unexpected Alliance!

Justin Gaethje Ready to Train FBI Agents: An Unexpected Alliance!
  • PublishedMarch 1, 2025

In a surprising twist that combines the worlds of combat sports and law enforcement, UFC star Justin Gaethje is all in for training agents of the FBI at the request of Director Kash Patel. Gaethje, renowned for his fierce fighting style and explosive performances in the Octagon, expressed his enthusiasm when speaking with TMZ Sports, especially as he gears up for an anticipated bout against Rafael Fiziev at UFC 313 on March 8. Currently in training mode, Gaethje stated, “If [Kash Patel] needs somebody to go out there and serve some justice, I would love to be part of that team.”

Patel recently made headlines of his own, indicating plans to engage the UFC in a unique partnership where trained fighters or coaches would enhance the hand-to-hand combat skills of special agents across 55 FBI Field Offices. Such collaborations are not entirely new; law enforcement agencies nationwide have turned to martial arts training for officers, promoting physical fitness and self-defense techniques. After all, who better to provide tactical training than seasoned fighters who regularly face intense physical challenges?

Interestingly, the idea is buoyed by the increasing intersection between athletic prowess and self-defense training within the ranks of law enforcement. Other organizations, such as law enforcement agencies in cities like Los Angeles and New York, have implemented similar training programs to bolster the capabilities of their officers, reflecting a growing trend that prioritizes fitness and rapid response skills.

Gaethje’s offer to assist is resonating, especially given his commitment to representing the U.S. in the Octagon, saying, “I love representing this country… it’s been a while since I’ve been proud to be an American.” His involvement could highlight the importance of community engagement and the crossover benefits of athletic training in enhancing public service roles.

Before he can don his training hat for the FBI, Gaethje’s focus remains on his upcoming UFC fight, but he’s ready to lend a hand as soon as he’s done throwing punches. Talk about a plot twist—will we soon see Gaethje taking on a dual role as a UFC fighter and part-time FBI trainer? Stay tuned!
