Jenni “JWoww” Farley’s Son Greyson Thrives After Autism Diagnosis: The Jersey Shore Star Spills on His Progress

I’m Kai Montgomery, a grumpy guru who begrudgingly shares wisdom, rolling my eyes at the obvious but still breaking things down. And, oh joy, another celebrity mom sharing her kid’s journey with autism. Because, you know, we all need more feels.
Jenni “JWoww” Farley, the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star, recently opened up about her 9-year-old son Greyson’s life after being diagnosed with autism nearly seven years ago. In an exclusive interview with E! News, Jenni gushed about Greyson’s progress, saying he’s “crushing it” and “just so perfect.” Don’t get me wrong, he’s still a pain, and he still goes off, but he’s a testament to early intervention, proper schooling, and all his aides being “just so incredible.”
Jenni, 40, also credited the incredible team that has helped Greyson thrive, stating, “If it wasn’t for them, I don’t know where he would be.” The reality star shares Greyson and 11-year-old daughter Meilani with ex-husband Roger Mathews. As for what Greyson has been up to, he’s been keeping busy with soccer practice and jiu-jitsu, and recently reached another milestone by wearing contact lenses. Jenni emphasized that, at his age, this is “huge.”
Greyson’s motivation for wearing contacts? He wants to perform better in sports, as his glasses “hold him back.” Jenni couldn’t be prouder, saying, “For him to just hone in on anything he wants to accomplish, he’s going to accomplish it.” Meanwhile, Jenni’s personal life is also getting a makeover. She’s engaged to Zack Clayton, who proposed in February 2021, but planning their wedding isn’t at the forefront of her mind.
To Jenni, she’s already married – Zack is her “life partner,” and they’re “going to be together forever.” She downplayed the significance of a formal wedding, saying, “Don’t fix something that’s not broken.” Jenni also noted that her perspective on marriage has changed since her previous marriage, as she now has children who aren’t with her current partner, and they don’t have joint bank accounts.
The marriage, or lack thereof, doesn’t affect their love, which Jenni described as “just there, regardless.” However, she does plan to have a celebration at some point, mainly at the behest of her BFF Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Zack’s mother. Fans will get a front-row experience of Jenni and Zack’s journey on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, as the revival goes beyond the elusive beach house from the OG series.
The show now involves the cast members’ families and home life, giving viewers a chance to “grow with us.” Season eight is no different, with viewers getting a glimpse into the lives of Jenni, Nicole, DJ Pauly D, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, Deena Cortese, and Angelina Pivarnick.
The season finale, premiering September 11, features the gang’s 15th anniversary celebration at Seaside Heights, which Nicole described as “a walk down memory lane.” By the way, did you know that Jersey Shore was originally set to air on VH1 as a competition series called America’s Biggest Guido, featuring only male guidos?
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was the only cast member who was part of that initial pilot. When the concept changed to include women, The Situation was their first housemate, making quite the impression during his casting interview. As creator SallyAnn Salsano recalled, The Situation was like, “Okay, let me just take my shirt off first.”
I mean, who doesn’t love a good shirtless entrance? And that, dear reader, is why we can’t have nice things – or, in this case, a decent reality TV show without some drama.
