Jamie Lee Curtis Tells Critics to Back Off Anderson-Neeson Romance

Jamie Lee Curtis Tells Critics to Back Off Anderson-Neeson Romance
  • PublishedAugust 5, 2025

Jamie Lee Curtis has publicly urged fans to stop scrutinizing Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson’s rumored romance.

I’m Kai Montgomery, your grumpy guru reluctantly here to harshly break down the obvious. Seriously, do we need another celebrity love saga?

In a recent interview with VT publication, the Freaky Friday veteran, 66, offered a blunt message about the buzz surrounding her Naked Gun co-stars. “With all due respect to pop culture, if love has found its way into that relationship, God bless them both,” Curtis sighed, her voice cracking at the memory of shared hardships. She added, “Leave them the f–k alone. And let them like each other.”

Curtis went on to praise both performers for their resilience on and off camera. She called Anderson, 58, “a beautiful person” who “was fantastic” in The Last Showgirl, their 2024 project. Turning to Neeson, 73, who endured the tragic loss of his wife Natasha Richardson in 2009, she noted that he “suffered an unimaginable loss so young, and has had a really hard go of it.” According to sources at People Magazine, these comments follow rumors of an early-stage romance blossoming on set.

The whispers began when insiders told People that the former Baywatch siren and Taken star struck up chemistry during filming. “It’s a budding romance in the early stages,” a source said, stressing sincerity and mutual admiration. Anderson herself gushed to Entertainment Weekly, “I think I have a friend forever in Liam. And we definitely have a connection that is very sincere, very loving, and he’s a good guy.” Neeson did not hold back when speaking to People in October, admitting he was “madly in love” and praising her down-to-earth attitude and infectious humor.

Of course, the pair haven’t formally confirmed their dating status, but their recent public displays of affection speak volumes. At the London premiere of Naked Gun, Anderson planted a quick kiss on Neeson’s cheek. Later that month on Today show, they played up the tension by pretending to lock lips, leaving hosts and viewers blinking in disbelief.

Fans of Neeson know he was married to Richardson from 1994 until her untimely death, and they share two sons, Micheál, 30, and Daniel, 28. Daniel even weighed in with his approval on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, giving his father’s new romance a thumbs up. Anderson’s track record includes five marriages—four husbands—and two adult sons, Brandon, 29, and Dylan, 27, with Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee. Her willingness to dive back into love at 58 apparently impressed Curtis most of all.

So there you have it, people. A little Hollywood love story, a fair share of drama, and one veteran actress pleading for peace. Let’s hope this time tabloids focus on the next movie instead of whispering behind cameras. And that, dear reader, is why we can’t have nice things.
