Island Boys: Twin Duo Officially Breaks Up Amidst Legal Troubles

Island Boys: Twin Duo Officially Breaks Up Amidst Legal Troubles
  • PublishedFebruary 25, 2025

The Island Boys—Florida’s most infamous twin duo, formerly known for their hit “I’m An Island Boy”—are officially off the market. Well, not in the romantic sense, but in the brotherly bond department. TMZ recently reported that Alex “FlyySoulja” Venegas has confirmed that he and his twin, Franky, are no longer on speaking terms, a split that has been simmering beneath the surface for quite some time now. In fact, it’s been over a year since Franky packed his bags and left their shared digs in Florida after months of heated arguments.

Flyy’s been on a different path these days. He got engaged on Valentine’s Day to his baby mama, with whom he has a young son, alongside a four-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. He describes himself now as a “family man,” thankful for the change in his life direction. However, the same can’t be said for Franky, whose recent legal woes have kept him in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Just this past weekend, he found himself in trouble again, arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and for possessing a firearm with an altered serial number. A stressful reminder of the stark contrast between the twins’ lifestyles.

Despite the rift, Flyy seems to hold on to a glimmer of hope, expressing that he would always have his brother’s back, even if their current relationship is rocky. It’s worth noting that family ties can be more complicated than an Instagram story, and Flyy mentioned in earlier interviews that he has helped Franky cover legal fees, which his brother seemingly took for granted. It’s unfortunate because the brothers used to be inseparable—at one point, they even shared tender moments on social media, framing their relationship in a not-so-brotherly light.

Now, with Franky trying to reach Flyy post-arrest and getting no response, it’s safe to say they’ve got some growing up to do if they want to mend their relationship. As the twins were once a viral sensation, it would be ironic to see this chapter written out as an “Island Boys: A Tale of Two Paths.” Only time will tell if they can make waves again.
