Inside the Grit: Special Forces Season 4 Unveils Star-Studded Lineup

Inside the Grit: Special Forces Season 4 Unveils Star-Studded Lineup
  • PublishedAugust 6, 2025

Fox has officially revealed the eighteen celebrities signed up for Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 4, and this line-up is a mix of reality fan favorites, sports legends, and TV stars ready to get muddy, exhausted, and maybe a little bruised in the name of high-intensity training.

Hi, I’m Quinn Parker, and hold onto your mugs, because I have enough caffeine racing through me to power a rocket, and you need to hear this. Picture this: Teresa Giudice and her daughter Gia making their way through a river crossing straight out of Special Forces training manuals, while former Empire lead Jussie Smollett screams encouragement from the edge of a raft. Yes, that’s right, Fox’s reality juggernaut is back with more drama, grit, sweat, and maybe a few surprise injuries along the way.

This season’s cast runs the gamut. We’ve got Real Housewives royalty with Teresa Giudice and Eva Marcille tackling obstacle courses, plus reality power couple Eric Decker and Jessie James Decker leaning on each other during endurance drills. Sister Wives star Kody Brown steps up alongside The Valley alum Brittany Cartwright, and model Chanel Iman goes toe-to-toe with Olympians Shawn Johnson and Christie Pearce Rampone. Former NFL playmakers Johnny Manziel and Randall Cobb will test their mental and physical toughness, while retired NBA star Nick Young tries to keep his cool under pressure.

On August 6, Entertainment Weekly dropped the first behind-the-scenes shots: Smollett clinging to a fast-moving boat as Pearce Rampone appears drained inside a makeshift raft, and Johnson sporting a bloody nose during a brutal close-quarters drill. These glimpses make it clear: there’s no VIP treatment here. Season 3’s Denise Richards told E! News that she trained three weeks straight and still ended up injuring her surgically enhanced chest jumping off a bridge. Her warning should send chills through every contestant—and us viewers.

Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia from the podcast world, actor Ravi V. Patel, Montana Boyz’s Mark Estes, and sisters-in-arms Gia Giudice round out this motley crew. From high-speed boat extractions to nerve-wracking rappels, Fox promises every scenario is ripped from real Special Forces exercises. Expect screams, tears, flash floods of adrenaline, and boundary-pushing feats of strength.

Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 4 premieres Thursday, September 25 at 9 p.m. on Fox. Will Teresa’s fierce New Jersey spirit prevail? Can Manziel’s hustle translate to the battlefield? What secret advantage does Jessie James Decker bring? And who will collapse under the weight of these challenges? Stay wired for the full adrenaline ride—you won’t want to miss this.

Whew, I might need another latte after all that.
