Harrison Ford Steals the Show at SAG Awards While Calista Flockhart Holds Down the Stage in NYC

Harrison Ford made a splash at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards, and while he might’ve walked the red carpet solo, you can bet he wasn’t feeling lonely. The legendary 82-year-old actor, known for iconic roles like Indiana Jones and Han Solo, was there to support his co-stars from Apple TV+’s hit show Shrinking. His wife, Calista Flockhart, 60, was notably absent, but for a good reason—she’s currently treading the boards in New York City, starring in a production of Sam Shepard’s Curse of the Starving Class. Talk about a busy power couple!
While Ford’s leading lady was wowing audiences on the East Coast, he was busy reflecting on the warm reception for his latest role. During the red carpet interviews, Ford shared, “I didn’t know what it was going to be, but it turned out to be something very special for me.” He noted the simple yet meaningful connections he’s made with fans, who approach him not for autographs but just to express their enjoyment of the show. It seems Shrinking, co-created by comedy heavyweights like Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence, has struck a chord with viewers.
Ford was nominated for outstanding performance by a male actor in a comedy series, but he and his ensemble missed out on the awards, which went to Martin Short of Only Murders in the Building. However, nothing seemed to quell Ford’s spirits. In true Harrison fashion, he even found a moment of humor; while his co-star Jessica Williams was onscreen, he was hilariously caught mid-cracker crunch. Williams quipped, “I told him to turn away! Don’t look!”—and honestly, who doesn’t love a little comedic snack action in the middle of a fancy awards show?
With Seasons 1 and 2 of Shrinking now streaming on Apple TV+, it’s safe to say fans are for sure “shrinking” in their seats for more. So, while Ford knows how to work a red carpet, he’s clearly down-to-earth enough to enjoy a snack or two. That’s showbiz, baby!
