Duchess Fergie’s Tiger Woods Romance Plot Exposed in New Book

Duchess Fergie’s Tiger Woods Romance Plot Exposed in New Book
  • PublishedAugust 6, 2025

Hi, I’m Quinn Parker and let me tell you- I have more caffeine-fueled thoughts on this royal love chase than my heart can handle!

Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, apparently set her sights on golfing superstar Tiger Woods soon after her high-profile split from Prince Andrew, according to veteran royal author Andrew Lownie in his new book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, first revealed by the Daily Mail. Fergie, now 65, allegedly confessed to Piers Morgan that she found the 49-year-old Grand Slam legend “gorgeous” and plotted a surprise 1,500-mile pilgrimage to Texas, determined to watch him in action and maybe more. The former Princess of York, who wed Andrew in 1986 and finalized her divorce in 1996, reportedly told Morgan she planned to “follow him around the golf course” to see if sparks might fly between them.

Lownie’s telling goes on to relate Morgan’s playful warning that “poor old Tiger isn’t going to know what’s hit him,” given his heavy PGA Tour schedule. This cheeky back-and-forth gives a fresh twist to royal romance rumors and highlights Fergie’s fearless approach to post-palace love interests.

The duchess’s romantic radar didn’t end with Woods. During a separate New York City visit, Ferguson tasked her team with tracking down John F. Kennedy Jr and extending an invite to her hotel for drinks or dinner. While the late president’s son initially accepted, the rendezvous never materialized, but the anecdote underscores her willingness to rewrite the royal dating rulebook.

There is photographic evidence of Ferguson and Woods sharing warm embraces after his 1997 Byron Nelson win in Texas, and again when he clinched the Masters at Augusta National in 2019. She even took to Instagram to gush “Never have I been more proud… Tiger’s heart is loyal, steadfast and he is an amazing friend,” though royal watchers are already buzzing, wondering if this friendly front was a clever PR move or genuine matchmaking.

Lownie also claims Fergie “plagued” Hollywood’s Kevin Costner with what are described as “raunchy phone calls” and once eyed George Clooney as a possible partner. Insiders say these anecdotes reveal Fergie’s unconventional flair and refusal to fade into the background of public life, instead keeping her personal narrative firmly in the spotlight.

Despite the divorce, Fergie and Prince Andrew continue to live under the same roof at the lavish Royal Lodge on Windsor Castle grounds, co-parenting daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. The biography doesn’t spare dark palace details either, portraying Andrew as “unbelievably cruel” to staff backstage. The New York Post has reached out to representatives for Woods, Ferguson and Buckingham Palace for comment.

Whew- I need about a dozen more espressos to digest this royal, sports and Hollywood mashup!
