Fergie, now 65, allegedly confessed to Piers Morgan that she found the 49-year-old Grand Slam legend “gorgeous” and plotted a surprise 1,500-mile pilgrimage to Texas, determined to watch him in action and maybe more. The former Princess of York, who wed Andrew in 1986 and finalized her divorce in 1996, reportedly told Morgan she planned to “follow him around the golf course” to see if sparks might fly between them.
Lownie’s telling goes on to relate Morgan’s playful warning that “poor old Tiger isn’t going to know what’s hit him,” given his heavy PGA Tour schedule. This cheeky back-and-forth gives a fresh twist to royal romance rumors and highlights Fergie’s fearless approach to post-palace love interests.
The duchess’s romantic radar didn’t end with Woods. During a separate New York City visit, Ferguson tasked her team with tracking down John F. There is photographic evidence of Ferguson and Woods sharing warm embraces after his 1997 Byron Nelson win in Texas, and again when he clinched the Masters at Augusta National in 2019.
