David Duchovny’s Secret Wedding: The X-Files Star Spills the Tea

I’m Riley Carter, and I’m here to give you the lowdown on the latest celebrity scoop. So, it turns out that David Duchovny, the 65-year-old X-Files alum, recently tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Monique Pendleberry in a private ceremony back in February.
The news was confirmed during his appearance on Today with Jenna & Friends on September 3, where he casually dropped the bombshell while discussing his debut poetry collection, About Time. When guest cohost Savannah Guthrie brought up his recent nuptials, Duchovny simply replied, “I did, in February. Thank you.”
Duchovny and Pendleberry have been dating for nearly eight years, and they’ve managed to keep their relationship relatively under wraps. The couple was first spotted together in Vancouver, Canada, back in 2017, and they’ve been going strong ever since.
Interestingly, Duchovny had previously expressed some reservations about remarrying after his divorce from ex-wife Téa Leoni in 2014. In a 2015 interview with People, he mentioned that he wasn’t planning on exchanging vows again, saying, “I don’t think I want to be married again. I just feel like I’m old!”
Fast forward to 2023, and it seems like Duchovny has had a change of heart. During an interview with The Telegraph in June, he teased details of their intimate wedding ceremony, revealing that they “ran off to Santa Barbara and did it at the courthouse there.”
Duchovny also took the opportunity to poke fun at his new status as a love poet, joking that he’s the “No. 1 love poet” according to Amazon sales. When asked if any of the poems in his book were inspired by Pendleberry, he quickly clarified that they weren’t.
The newlyweds aren’t the only celebrities who have recently walked down the aisle. Other stars who have tied the knot this year include Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Denis Sulta, who had a three-day celebration at Dromquinna Manor in Ireland.
The “Stick Season” singer and his private partner also got married in an intimate ceremony in August. Meanwhile, Logan Paul and Nina Agdal exchanged vows at Lake Como, Italy, on August 15, nearly a year after welcoming their first baby together.
Lo Bosworth and Dom Natale, the Hills alum and businessman, got hitched in a private Laguna Beach ceremony in July 2025, with Bosworth announcing that she was four months pregnant with their first child.
Hannah Brown and Adam Woolard, the Bachelor Nation star and her love, wed in an elegant ceremony on the coast of France on July 26.
Hunter Fieri and Tara Berstein, Guy Fieri’s son and the professional pickleball player, exchanged vows in a “Denim & Diamonds”-themed wedding on August 30 at the Fieri family ranch in Sonoma, California.
As for Duchovny, it’s clear that he’s found happiness with Pendleberry, and we can’t help but wonder what’s next for the couple.
Anyway, that’s the deal. Do with it what you will.
