Dancing With Drama: Alix Earle’s DWTS Breakdown and Braxton Berrios’ Support

Alix Earle, the 24-year-old TikTok sensation, recently opened up about her experience on Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) and the emotional breakdown she had with her boyfriend, Braxton Berrios, a star player in the NFL. In an exclusive interview with E! News at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, Alix shared that she’s been struggling with the physically demanding rehearsals for the show. “I had a breakdown to Braxton the other night,” she confessed. “I was like, ‘Braxton, I don’t think I can be sexy. I don’t know what to do. I need you to help me.'”

It’s clear that Alix is grateful for Braxton, whom she started dating in March 2023. She gushed about his support, saying, “He’s so supportive. I FaceTime him every day and every chance I get. He’s always supportive and I’m there to support him too. We’re both on crazy schedules right now, but it’s been great supporting each other and getting to see each other.”

Alix also shared that Braxton’s experience with injuries has been a huge help, as she’s been dealing with a sore neck and bruised feet. “I didn’t expect to be sore in the places that I’m sore in,” she explained. Despite the physical and emotional toll of DWTS, Alix is having a blast being part of the season 34 cast, which includes stars like Hilaria Baldwin and Jen Affleck.

“I feel like I’m at a big dance camp,” Alix said. “It’s been so much fun. I’m giddy every day. I wake up and I’m excited to get there, excited to learn more.” She added that she’s getting a little better each day, which is great to see some progress. “Day one I was like, ‘Oh god. I don’t know if I can do this.’ But it’s been really, really great.”

The 2025 MTV VMAs, hosted by LL Cool J, saw a slew of celebrities in attendance, including Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, and Lauren Sorrentino, all dressed to impress in their custom outfits and designer jewelry.

As for Alix and Braxton, it’s clear that their relationship can withstand the challenges of DWTS and the NFL. Will they be the next power couple to dominate the entertainment and sports world? Only time will tell.
