Coffee Table Chaos: Brittany Cartwright Reveals Jax Taylor’s Outrage After Text Scandal

Coffee Table Chaos: Brittany Cartwright Reveals Jax Taylor’s Outrage After Text Scandal
  • PublishedApril 15, 2025

Another day, another dose of reality television drama that’s somehow supposed to be shocking. Brittany Cartwright is back in the spotlight, recounting the moment when her estranged husband, Jax Taylor, decided to flip a coffee table in a fit of rage upon discovering some steamy text exchanges between her and his friend, Julien. Because, of course, nothing says “I care about our marriage” quite like sending furniture flying. In the season 2 premiere of *The Valley*, Cartwright revealed that the couple’s already strained relationship took a nosedive after Jax caught wind of her messages, leading to a meltdown that would make even the most seasoned reality show producers roll their eyes.

The pair had previously agreed to see other people during their separation, but clearly, that rule only applies to Brittany if Jax decides it does. When Jax stumbled upon a risqué video Brittany sent Julien on their son Cruz’s iPad, he didn’t just get mad; he went full-on Hulk mode. Cartwright described how the table flipped and hit her knee, turning it “black immediately.” Sounds like a scene straight out of a bad sitcom, doesn’t it? “Oh my God, I’m screaming crying. It was terrifying,” she added, as if that’s not the kind of drama we expect from a couple that’s been in the public eye for years.

To add to the absurdity, Jax, while admitting to his “unhinged rage,” tried to justify his actions by saying, “Come on, a friend?” It’s almost adorable how he thinks his double standards are acceptable. While Brittany pointed out that Jax had been “hooking up with girls” and displaying his single status like it’s a badge of honor, he seemed to have forgotten that the same rules apply to her.

Jax’s friends, including former *Vanderpump Rules* co-star Tom Schwartz, expressed concern over his erratic behavior. “You’re headed towards rock bottom,” Schwartz warned, as if this is some sort of wake-up call for a man who’s been crafting his own reality TV tragedy for years. Given Jax’s tendency to spiral, it’s hardly surprising that he’s now seeking help for his substance issues. He recently celebrated 83 days of sobriety, indicating that perhaps he can channel his rage into something a bit more constructive than coffee table wrestling.

So there it is, folks. Another episode of reality TV’s finest—where emotional breakdowns and furniture demolitions are just part of the job description. And, in case you were wondering, this is the kind of drama we didn’t need to see, yet here we are. Let’s all take a moment to roll our eyes and shake our heads in disbelief.
