Chad Michael Murray’s Son Uses Dad’s Fame to Score Beachside Chats

The One Tree Hill alum, who shares three kids with wife Sarah Roemer, spilled the tea on how junior Murray uses his knowledge of Dad’s fanbase to score impromptu photo ops – and maybe a few beachside admirers.
According to Chad’s own account, his boy has clocked that most of his father’s autograph seekers are young women. “He knows the demographic that’s coming,” Chad laughed during his sit-down with ABC’s morning show crew. The proud dad admits that when he’s out in public grabbing snapshots and signing autographs, it’s like free PR for him – but his son has turned Dad’s celebrity into a conversation starter of his own.
One standout anecdote comes from a Puerto Rico vacation, where Chad was off filming while his wife and kids hit the beach. His son spotted a group of bikini-clad teens and strolled up saying, “My dad’s Chad Michael Murray. I thought you might wanna get a photo.” Dad’s reaction? An emphatic “no, no, no, no,” though he suspects his kid would charm his way into conversation anyway. “He is so confident with women,” Chad told E! News, adding that at a University of Florida event his son casually posed for pictures with a circle of college girls without hesitation.
As for the Murray daughter front, their 8-year-old proved a little less bold when meeting Freaky Friday co-star Lindsay Lohan at the sequel’s July 22 premiere. Chad recreated his daughter’s stunned expression, explaining that seeing a movie icon in the flesh can be a lot for any kid to process. Their youngest arrived in 2023, but little miss number three has yet to join her siblings in pulling off any celebrity stunts.
