Caroline Stanbury’s Eye Infection: From Pain to Progress in the Spotlight

Caroline Stanbury, star of “Real Housewives of Dubai,” has been in the social media spotlight for all the wrong reasons lately—her eye! Documenting a “painful” battle with a severe eye infection, she woke up one day feeling like she had gone a few rounds with a UFC fighter, only to discover her eye was swollen shut and, well, oozing. Not your everyday morning routine, right? In a TikTok video from February 19, she explained her descent into eye misery, revealing she had tried everything from antihistamines to eye drops, but alas, nothing seemed to be working. “It’s got worse, not better,” she lamented while capturing her situation on camera—a total nightmare!
Real talk: her husband, Sergio Carrallo, expressed concern by saying he was praying for her recovery. To which Stanbury quickly quipped, “What are you praying for? I’m not gonna die. I’m not gonna lose an eye, am I?” Classic reality TV banter, but the situation was no laughing matter. The following day, after a “terrible” night, she was back to the hospital for antibiotics and an MRI, sharing footage of her continuing eye woes. Describing it as “painful” with a burning sensation, she cautioned that this ordeal could last for up to two weeks. Gulp!
After her diagnosis of orbital cellulitis—a bacterial infection that, according to the Cleveland Clinic, could lead to severe complications like blindness if untreated—she assured fans she was on the mend. Symptoms of this pesky infection include painful eye movements, swelling, and potential vision troubles. Fortunately, after some antibiotics and doctor visits, Stanbury reported significant improvement. By February 23, she triumphantly declared her eye was “a million times better” and almost fully opened!
Let’s hope her journey inspires others to take eye care seriously. Remember, when in doubt, get the check-up! While her eye fiasco was harrowing, it also reminded us that even reality stars aren’t exempt from real-life struggles. Wishing her speedy recovery!
