Brandon Routh and Rachael Leigh Cook Spark Dating Buzz with Low-Key LA Movie Night

Okay, but like why is this a thing? They managed to look totally chill and casual with matching low-key vibes yet undeniable chemistry that has everyone whispering.
Eyewitnesses tell E! News that the She’s All That alum wore blue jeans paired with a navy utility blazer and a bright pink handbag, while the Superman Returns star opted for an all-black ensemble including a button-down and simple slacks. Their easy smiles and relaxed pace into the theater felt more like a cozy hangout than a headline-making rendezvous.
E! News reached out to representatives for both Cook and Routh but has not yet received an official comment. Despite the silence, the pair’s careers have already overlapped plenty. Rachael most recently led Sisterhood, Inc. opposite Daniella Monet on the Hallmark Channel, while Brandon fronted several entries in the popular Nine Lives of Christmas franchise.
Romance rumors surrounding this outing coincide with major life changes for both stars. Earlier this summer Brandon and his ex-wife Courtney Ford finalized a divorce that they announced six months after their split. The former couple, together for 21 years and married for 17, shared a joint statement that read in part “we are now and forever rooting for each other as we move through this wild adventure called life.” Their son Leo, now 12, remains a central focus in their co-parenting partnership.
Meanwhile Rachael Leigh Cook and her ex-husband Daniel Gillies ended their 14-year marriage in 2019. They share two children, Charlotte age 11 and Theodore age 10. In a shared, now-deleted statement the duo expressed gratitude for “the thousands of beautiful memories shared” and pledged to maintain respect and support as co-parents.
In the years after her split Cook briefly dated Kevin Mann, going public with their relationship on social media in 2021. Speaking to People in 2022 she joked that she is “the most incorrigible full-tilt romantic you have ever met in your whole life,” adding she is “totally open” to love reappearing on her radar. That comment has taken on fresh relevance this week.
