L.A. Reid’s Bel Air Estate Relisted for $17.5 Million: A Luxury Real Estate Saga

L.A. Reid’s Bel Air Estate Relisted for $17.5 Million: A Luxury Real Estate Saga
  • PublishedMarch 18, 2025

L.A. Reid’s Bel Air mansion is back on the market, and if you’ve got $17.5 million lying around, you too can own a piece of this real estate rollercoaster. The music mogul has been trying to offload this 7-bedroom, 10-bathroom, 11,000-square-foot palace for years, and yet, here we are again. It’s almost as if the market is saying, “No, thank you,” to a home that boasts a pool, spa, outdoor kitchen, gym, home theater with a bar, and a 300-bottle wine cellar. Oh, and let’s not forget the canyon and city views—because apparently, even luxury real estate needs a gimmick.

Reid first listed the property in 2019 for $22.9 million, which, in hindsight, might have been a tad optimistic. After a brief hiatus from the market, he tried again in 2023, slashing the price to $21.5 million. Still no takers. By 2024, he dropped it to $20 million, but even that couldn’t seal the deal. Now, at $17.5 million, it’s clear that Reid is playing the long game—or perhaps just hoping someone with deep pockets and a love for canyon views will finally bite.

The property, listed by Jason and Brett Oppenheim of *The Oppenheim Group*, is undeniably lavish. But in a market where even the ultra-rich are tightening their belts, it’s no surprise that this entertainer’s paradise is struggling to find its forever owner. The real question is: who’s going to blink first—Reid or the buyers?
