In a wild turn of events, Dallas rapper BigXThaPlug, born Xavier Landum, got himself into a bit of hot water during a traffic stop on February 25 in Arlington, Texas. The 26-year-old, known for his catchy tunes like “Mmhmm” and “Texas,” was pulled over for expired tags, but things took a nosedive when the officer allegedly caught a whiff of marijuana as he approached the vehicle.
A subsequent search unveiled the presence of not just some green leafy substance—later confirmed to be less than two ounces of marijuana—but also a firearm stashed away in the passenger door pocket. As per Texas law, carrying a weapon while holding a controlled substance is a definite no-go, which explains why BigX found himself in a bit of a jam. He was booked at Arlington County Jail, and as of now, he’s still behind bars, with no comment from his camp making the rounds on social media.
His passenger, Cleodist Landum, rumored to be a relative, had a felony warrant already sitting in Bexar County. Talk about extra baggage!
