Zac Efron Gives Bro Approval to Dylan’s HSM Parody – It’s a Family Thing!

In a delightful twist of sibling love, Dylan Efron recently revealed how big brother Zac reacted to a hilarious High School Musical parody he filmed with Survivor legend Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano. During an exclusive chat with E! News, Dylan, who’s currently starring in The Traitors, shared that Zac did indeed “get a kick” out of the TikTok tribute he put together, which pays homage to Zac’s iconic role as Troy Bolton.
In the clip, which Dylan posted on February 8, he and Rob reenact a scene from High School Musical 2, lip-syncing to “Gotta Go My Own Way” while frolicking through their hotel in what can only be described as pure, wholesome fun. As Dylan candidly admitted, “That was my idea,” but Rob immediately was on board, eager to share in the shenanigans. “He’s down for it,” Dylan noted, and honestly, who wouldn’t want to jump in on a good TikTok moment?
But it hasn’t been all smooth sailing for Dylan. The 33-year-old confessed that the intense Round Tables on The Traitors were “terrible” for him. Public speaking isn’t exactly his forte, and doing it in front of cameras and several aggressive game players added an extra layer of anxiety. “Everyone’s hearts were going through our chests at the first Round Table,” he said, which gives us serious butterflies just imagining the scene.
On the bright side, Zac has high hopes for Dylan’s success in the competitive game show world. “I think Dylan’s going to win,” Zac gushed in an earlier interview, praising his brother’s strategic mind and gaming prowess. “He’s like the game master,” he added, reflecting their lifelong rivalry that has clearly prepped Dylan for his reality TV journey.
New episodes of The Traitors drop every Thursday on Peacock, and with all this sibling camaraderie and competitive spirit, it looks like viewers are in for a treat!
