Love Island’s Molly Smith and Tom Clare Tie the Knot in Romantic Dubai Proposal

Love Island’s Molly Smith and Tom Clare Tie the Knot in Romantic Dubai Proposal
  • PublishedSeptember 4, 2025

I’m Riley Carter, and I’m here to spill the tea on the latest celebrity scoop. So, it turns out that Love Island U.K. alums Molly Smith and Tom Clare are officially engaged, and we’re not surprised – they make a pretty great couple. The duo, who met while competing on Love Island: All Stars last February, announced their engagement with a glimpse of her stunning oval diamond ring. According to their joint Instagram post on September 4, Tom proposed to Molly in Dubai, and the romantic getaway was filled with heartfelt moments.

The couple shared several photos from their proposal, showcasing their love amidst a picturesque backdrop of white roses and candles on the beach. Molly, 31, looked stunning in a silk outfit, and Tom, 26, couldn’t have been more adoring as he popped the question. After getting down on one knee, the two shared a tender kiss, and Molly proudly showed off her gorgeous ring, an oval diamond cut with a silver band. As they fittingly captioned the post, “SHE SAID YES!!!”

Tom later took to his Instagram Stories to gush over the announcement, confirming that he and Molly had also shared the news with their inner circle, prompting sweet messages from their loved ones. Stylist Ryan Kay wrote, “It’s safe to say I was all teared up with pure happiness for these two. When they rang me with the news of their engagement, I couldn’t think of a better suited couple. I’ve always admired you both and the love you have for one another. Congratulations and…..let’s go dress shopping.”

The stylist wasn’t the only pal who showed the couple some love, as several Love Island U.K. stars also sent them well wishes in the comments section. Casey O’Gorman, who appeared on the ITV reality show’s ninth season alongside Tom, wrote, “Congratulations to my brother and his QUEEN!!! Now to start writing the greatest best man speech of all time.” Season seven’s Kaz Kamwi echoed the sentiment, writing “Congratulations guys!” with a teary-eyed emoji. Meanwhile, British model Tasha Ghouri proved she supports their love and wrote, “OMG!!!!!! The most gorge couple!!!”

But Molly and Tom aren’t the only Love Island couple making headlines. Let’s take a look at some other islanders who are still going strong. Ellie Brown and Charlie Brake, season four contestants, may have left the villa together in 2018, but their romance fizzled out not long after returning from Mallorca. Ellie announced in July 2025 that she had gotten engaged to her boyfriend, whose name she has not publicly announced, one year after debuting their relationship.

Uma Jammen and Wil Anderson, who met on Love Island U.K.’s season 11, are still going strong. Uma left the island on day 37 with Wil when he was dumped from the island after she was chosen by Reuben Collins. In July 2025, one year after leaving together, Uma announced that she and Wil were engaged. She wrote on Instagram with her ring on display, “We’ve been sitting on a bad boy piece of information.” For the reality star, staying on Love Island after Wil’s exit didn’t seem like an option. “There was no question. I didn’t have to think about it at all,” she said of her decision on the Not My Bagg podcast. “I want to be with Wil.”

” I’ve met someone,” she explained to hosts Lisa Baggs and Joe Baggs. “It takes me so long to get to the position I was with Wil, to be so comfortable with someone. There were two weeks left. What was I gonna do? Just sit there and fake a new connection? I’d rather just be honest.”

On the other hand, some Love Island couples didn’t quite make it. Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales sparked breakup rumors by unfollowing each other on Instagram hours before the season seven reunion aired in August 2025. Sadly, two days later, Amaya confirmed she and Bryan had parted ways. “After leaving the villa, it became very clear that we were on two different journeys,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories. “Our visions didn’t align and relationships are supposed to be a team sport. You don’t have to drink the whole sea to know it’s salty.”

Olandria Carthen and Nic Vansteenberghe, however, are still together. The couple, who appeared on season six, seem to be going strong, and fans are rooting for them.

As for Molly and Tom, they’re surely one of the most loved-up couples to emerge from Love Island. With their engagement, they’re taking their romance to the next level. We can’t wait to see what’s next for this adorable couple.

Anyway, that’s the deal. Do with it what you will.
