SNL’s Fresh Faces: Meet the Five New Cast Members Joining the Show

I’m Avery Sinclair, a no-nonsense observer who’s not easily impressed, but I’ll give you the lowdown on the latest scoop. The oracle Lorne Michaels has finally spoken, and “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) has announced the addition of five new cast members, bringing fresh faces to the iconic show.
After a tumultuous week that saw the departure of Heidi Gardner, Michael Longfellow, Emil Wakim, and Devon Walker, SNL has welcomed Ben Marshall, Kam Patterson, Veronika Slowikowska, Tommy Brennan, and Jeremy Culhane to the fold. These newcomers will officially become Not Ready For Primetime Players starting October 4.
Ben Marshall, 30, is a red-headed member of the sketch group “Please Don’t Destroy,” which has appeared in Peacock’s “Poker Face.” He’s also set to bring the funny in Kevin Hart’s upcoming film “72 Hours,” although a release date hasn’t been announced.
Kam Patterson, 26, is a stand-up comedian who made a name for himself on “Kill Tony.” He’s also appeared in “72 Hours” alongside SNL’s Marcello Hernandez and will star in “Busboys” with David Spade.
Veronika Slowikowska, 29, is known for her absurd Instagram sketches, live musical talents, and work in FX’s “What We Do In The Shadows,” Netflix’s “Tires,” and the Canadian vampire series “Ezra.” This past July, she and her comedy partner Kyle Chase opened for SNL alum Kyle Mooney at a NYC gig on his nationwide tour.
Tommy Brennan is a NYC-based stand-up comedian who’s a regular at the Comedy Cellar and has performed on NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.” He also had a popular web series called “Roommates-In-Law.”
Jeremy Culhane, 33, is an actor from Los Angeles who’s made a name for himself on Dropout TV. He’s also had supporting roles in HBO’s “The Sex Lives of College Girls,” Netflix’s “American Vandal,” and Paramount Network’s “Heathers.”
Four of the five new cast members have live gigs lined up ahead of their season 51 debut. If you’re eager to see them perform live, here’s where you can catch them in the near future. Ben Marshall’s sketch group, “Please Don’t Destroy,” has ten gigs scheduled as part of their summer 2025 tour, including four shows in Red Bank, NJ on September 9-10.
Veronika Slowikowska will headline at Gramercy Theatre on November 12 as part of the annual New York Comedy Festival. The show, titled “Veronika Slowikowska & Haley Steil Present Improv But Good,” promises to be a big, goofy swing.
Tommy Brennan will take the stage in cities like Austin, Washington, D.C., and Raleigh, although there are no upcoming New York spots scheduled. His heartfelt, punchline-heavy bits are likely to appeal to both the heartland and coasts.
Jeremy Culhane doesn’t have any shows scheduled in the near future, but you can check out his YouTube channel, which features videos with his clever sketch group Safety Patrol.
If you’re unable to catch these new cast members live, don’t worry – there are plenty of other SNL alumni touring in 2025. Martin Short will be performing with Steve Martin, Seth Meyers will team up with John Oliver, and John Mulaney will be out and about as well.
