Survivor Star Kara Kay Announces First Pregnancy and Wedding Plans

Kai Montgomery here. Look, I don’t want to be the one to say it, but here we are. Survivor alum Kara Kay is expecting her first child just a month after getting engaged.
At 37 years old, Kara Kay Allday revealed on August 7 that she is 19 weeks into her pregnancy and already planning nuptials with her fiancé. In a chic black-and-white “save the date” graphic posted on Instagram, the former David vs. Goliath competitor and her partner compared their “bumps” in front of a serene lakeside backdrop. Under the playful snapshot, the graphic reads “First comes baby, then comes marriage” and announces a due date of December 28, 2025.
Kara Kay first rose to fame in 2018, finishing fourth on Survivor season 37 when Mike White, creator of The White Lotus, edged her out in a fire-making challenge. Since then, she has built a career in real estate and even made a cameo on the second season of The White Lotus. But her latest role—mother-to-be—is bound to top them all.
Alongside the announcement, Kara shared intimate photos of herself and her partner cradling her growing belly, exchanging a tender kiss, and even showed ultrasound footage. She later reposted the news to her Instagram Story with a simple, “exciting news,” before adding a reflective note: “It was about a year ago I realized I may want to have kids. Now I’m engaged and over 19 weeks pregnant. Life can move fast—in any direction you choose.”
Her social media flood turned into a virtual celebration, with fellow Survivor castaways rushing to the comments. Kelley Wentworth gushed, “OMGGG SCREAMING!!!! Congratulations babe!!!!!!!!!!” Michele Fitzgerald chimed in, “OMG OMG OMG THE WORLD IS GONNA BE BLESSED W A KARA BABY so happy for you guys,” and Aubry Bracco added, “So very happy for you.”
Interestingly, Kara’s pregnancy news follows closely on the heels of her engagement announcement. On July 7, she shared photos from a romantic Hawaii trip, writing, “When your dream vacation turns into your dream come true. I couldn’t even muster up words in the moment but the answer has always been yes.” In that same post, she celebrated her fiancé as “my person, my dream, and the reason behind so much of the happiness I feel on a daily basis. I can’t believe you exist and I get to choose you as my partner every single day.”
Now, with a wedding still on the horizon and a tiny Tomlinson due at the end of next year, Kara Kay’s calendar is officially bursting at the seams. Fans and friends alike are already speculating about gender reveals, nursery themes, and whether Survivor reunion specials will include a baby bump cameo.
And that, dear reader, is why we can’t have nice things.
