Tom Holland dropped a brief but telling Instagram teaser on August 2 revealing a bold redesign of his Spider-Man outfit for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, arriving in theaters August 2.

Observers quickly pointed out that this new silhouette rescues a bit of nostalgia by edging closer to the designs first worn by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, as documented in archived film stills and fan-run comparison threads.
The 29-year-old actor, who first swung into action during 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, pairs up again with fiancée Zendaya in her role as MJ Watson.
