Sharon Osbourne Calls Ozzy’s Missed “Pirates of the Caribbean” Audition His “Biggest Mistake”
In a recent candid moment on “The Magnificent Others With Billy Corgan,” Sharon Osbourne revealed that she once blocked her husband Ozzy Osbourne from auditioning for a role in the iconic “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, which starred Johnny Depp as the lovable rogue Captain Jack Sparrow. “He got offered to go and read for Pirates of the Caribbean… I said no. Now wouldn’t he have been perfect?” Sharon reflected, looking back on what she now considers a potentially career-defining mistake.
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” series, which began with “The Curse of the Black Pearl” in 2003, has been a monumental success, grossing over $1.4 billion at the box office and solidifying its status as a pop culture phenomenon.
