Trisha Paytas Dubs Son Aquaman Moses in Epic Water-Inspired Name Reveal

Trisha Paytas Dubs Son Aquaman Moses in Epic Water-Inspired Name Reveal
  • PublishedJuly 22, 2025

Hi, I’m Quinn Parker, your over-caffeinated aunt spilling thoughts faster than you can keep up.

Trisha Paytas and husband Moses Hacmon welcomed their third baby on July 12 and revealed they named him Aquaman Moses Paytas-Hacmon.

Buckle up, because Paytas took the plunge into movie mania to keep her family’s tradition of cinematic names alive. During the July 22 episode of her podcast Just Trish, the 37-year-old influencer and singer zipped open a sequined jacket to unveil a bedazzled Aquaman T-shirt before dramatically introducing a collectible statue of the underwater hero. According to Paytas, the name Aquaman was “so perfect” for blending her own love of big-screen adventures with Moses’s passion for all things water based. Sources: E! Online, Just Trish podcast.

The new mom explained that her Aquaman obsession goes way back. “I’ve been wearing Aquaman shirts for years,” Paytas confessed. She’s been hitting up comic conventions decked out in Atlantean gear, rewatching Jason Momoa’s hit films, diving into cartoons and even stalking rare action figures online. After one marathon viewing session of every Aquaman installment ever made, she says she found a dozen reasons to seal the deal. And just to make sure the stars—or posters—aligned, she noticed a doctor’s office poster featuring Aquaman during a routine prenatal checkup with a substitute physician. Talk about a sign from above the sea.

Paytas’s naming tradition isn’t new. She and Moses named their daughters Malibu Barbie and Elvis, both inspired by movie posters that double as nursery wall art. For baby number three, they also factored in astrology. Born under the sign of Cancer, a water sign, their son was practically begging for an aquatic alias. “Cancer is a water sign, Moses loves water,” Paytas said on the podcast. “So we needed a water theme.” After tossing around several aquatic movie characters, Aquaman emerged as the undisputed champion of baby names.

Paytas shared behind-the-scenes glimpses on Instagram, showing off themed nursery decorations and coordinated outfits for big sisters Malibu Barbie, age two, and Elvis, 13 months. Family and fans flooded the comments with mixed reactions, though most praised the creativity and devotion to pop culture. Some wondered if the little guy would grow up enjoying comic conventions as much as his parents do. Imagine toddler Aquaman Moses in a mini trident onesie?

This isn’t the first time celebrity parents have gone off-script with unique monikers. Gwyneth Paltrow’s Apple and Elon Musk’s X Æ A-Xii still make waves, but Paytas is charting her own course with a full-on superhero tribute. The choice highlights a trend of celebrity baby names inspired by films, mythology and high-concept art, signaling Hollywood’s comfort with blending fantasy worlds into real life.

As this family of entertainers continues to ride their wave of creativity, fans are already asking what’s next. Will the next family member be named after a Star Wars Jedi or a DC vigilante? Stay tuned for more naming adventures and heartfelt revelations on Just Trish. I swear, I could talk about this all day.
