The Drama Behind Ms. Rachel and Olivia Munn’s Unexpected Feud

The Drama Behind Ms. Rachel and Olivia Munn’s Unexpected Feud
  • PublishedJune 12, 2025

It seems the internet has once again proven that it’s a breeding ground for hate and controversy. YouTuber Ms. Rachel, whose real name is Rachel Griffin Accurso, recently addressed the “hateful comments” aimed at Olivia Munn and her family. This all started when Olivia’s husband, John Mulaney, revealed that they had been receiving dangerous threats online. In a statement on Instagram, Ms. Rachel urged her followers to “be kind” to Olivia and her family, emphasizing that she doesn’t believe in hate, attacks, or hurtful comments. Because, you know, kindness is overrated and clearly not a thing on the internet.

The controversy began when Olivia admitted that her children, Malcolm and Méi, don’t watch Ms. Rachel’s educational program. Olivia told People that she can’t watch it, so she’s not going to “spend the rest of my life going crazy” over kid shows that drive her crazy. One can only imagine the trauma of having to watch educational content with her kids. Ms. Rachel responded by directing attention to her advocacy work, stating that she scrolls through stories that don’t matter while seeing that children’s immeasurable suffering is being ignored. It breaks her, but let’s be real, it’s not like she’s going to let it break her spirit or anything.

Ms. Rachel also clarified that there is no feud between her and Olivia, saying that they have been in touch and are choosing kindness. Because, of course, they are. Who wouldn’t want to be friends with someone who calls out their parenting choices on national television? Olivia later spoke out to quell the matter, stating that her comments were never meant to diminish the joy, comfort, and impact Ms. Rachel brings to many families. Yeah, because that’s exactly what it sounded like.

Meanwhile, John Mulaney called out the “violent and threatening comments and messages” Olivia began receiving in her DMs stemming from the controversy. He stated that an innocent comment his wife made about children’s programs has been conflated with not caring about the deaths of children in Gaza. One can only imagine the outrage and anger that comes with being a celebrity and having to deal with online hate. It’s not like they have better things to do, like actually helping children in need.

In a bizarre twist, it seems that internet influencers are always getting into some kind of drama. Take Colleen Ballinger, aka Miranda Sings, who faced allegations of grooming and forming inappropriate relationships with underage fans. She addressed the accusations in a 10-minute ukulele song, likening them to a “toxic gossip train” headed for “manipulation station.” Because, you know, nothing says “I’m innocent” like a song about it.

And that’s a wrap, folks. The internet is a wild place, and celebrities are just along for the ride. Tune in next time for more bad decisions and questionable life choices.
