Mickey Rourke’s On-Set Behavior Under Fire as Bella Thorne Reveals Shocking Allegations

Rourke’s team, in what can only be termed as a classic case of “not my fault,” staunchly denied any intentional misconduct, claiming they were unaware of Thorne’s alleged discomfort at the time. This is almost comical if it weren’t so tragic. Thorne described a scene in which Rourke was meant to use a prop grinder on her knees but instead opted for her genitals, resulting in bruises. Yes, because nothing says “professionalism” like using a metal grinder inappropriately on a co-star.
Of course, this isn’t Rourke’s first rodeo with questionable behavior. His recent stint on Celebrity Big Brother UK ended not with a bang but with a whimper, as he was given the boot for making offensive remarks and exhibiting unacceptable behavior towards contestants. Clearly, Rourke has perfected the art of crossing lines without a second thought. Thorne’s detailed account of her experiences on set only adds fuel to the fire, as she recounted having to plead with Rourke to show up and finish filming, as if she were begging a toddler to eat their vegetables.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get worse, Thorne shared even more tales of Rourke’s purported antics, such as revving his engine to cover her in dirt for what he presumably thought was a hilarious prank. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. Thorne’s frustrations reveal a deep-seated issue in Hollywood, where power dynamics often leave aspiring actors at the mercy of established stars who think they can get away with anything.
While Rourke’s representatives express their support for professionals deserving of respectful workplaces, one can’t help but roll their eyes. It’s hard to see how hollow assurances will protect anyone when history suggests that such behavior is often brushed under the rug.
At this point, should we even pretend to be surprised? Celebrity culture is rife with toxic behavior, and Rourke’s situation is just one more reminder of how far we have to go before we can even pretend to have a healthy entertainment industry. This will definitely age well… said no one ever.
